Teaching Artist Residence

2012    Alaska State Council on the Arts, Drawing for K-12, Tukurngailnguq School, Bering Strait School District, Stebbins, Alaska. Residency details: Teaching basic drawing techniques at a rural Alaskan village. I did so by creating lessons in observation, while presenting ideas on the topic of art as communication.  The class is designed for K-12 and one community lecture. 

2011    Campfire USA in conjunction with grants awarded by Alaska State Art Council. Creating quick lessons for children ages 5-12, exploring art as experimentation and discovery, while facilitating youth voice and resiliency.
